Wagon Rod Ranch was established in 1928 and is a bowhunting only ranch. This 640 acre ranch is located 30 miles south of San Antonio near Floresville, Texas, in an area locally known as "the sandhills".

Wagon Rod Ranch has a game proof fence and is stocked with a large variety of Exotics, Whitetail Deer, and Hogs. The Exotics and Hogs can be hunted year round and the Whitetail Deer in season. There are no livestock on the Wagon Rod Ranch.

This unique property features two large seasonal creek beds, 3 large ponds, deep sand terrain, and is heavily wooded with Live Oak, Post Oak, Blackjacks, Hickory, and Sand Oak.  The tall native grasses and lush thickets offer bowhunters the ultimate opportunity to stalk up on any number of majestic animals.

This ranch caters exclusively to bowhunters, offering guided hunts and both modern and rustic accommodations.  Hunters also enjoy the use of a walk-in cooler, ice machine, and a lighted skinning rack with an electric hoist and running water.  A local taxidermist is available

LIST OF ANIMALS ON THE RANCH

Whitetail Deer, Axis, Fallow, Sitka, Aoudad Sheep, Buffalo, Red Deer, Oryx, Wild Hogs, Blackbuck Antelope, Various Species of Rams and Horned Goats.

Come hunt the wilder side of the fence.

The ranch has a bunk house that sleeps 8, BBQ pit and wood is also available. Bunkhouse, Cooler, and Lighted Skinning area are included in the hunting cost. Non-hunting guests are welcome at $50.00 per day.
